Ayenne Smith- Interventionist

My name is Ayenne B. Smith, and I serve as the District Academic Interventionist at Mount Holly! My job is to discover and fill learning gaps that hinder students' growth and achievement in ELA.

I received a B.A. in Child Development from Claflin University and an M.A.T. degree in Early Childhood Education from South Carolina State University. Currently, I am pursuing an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Capella University.  I have had the opportunity to receive extensive training in early literacy through the University of South Carolina and Clemson University. In addition to my years serving as an academic interventionist, my career has included teaching kindergarten and first-grade students, as well as supporting teachers as a K-5
Instructional Coach.

I love teaching and learning! I am always excited to learn new ways to support the growth of teachers and students. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to serve the children, teachers, and families of Mount Holly Elementary School!
